Valeria Contreras is a Mexico City artist working across photography and painting. Guided by intuition, emotional clarity, and spiritual inquiry, she builds images that resist polished convention in favor of what feels immediate, intimate, and true.

Revisiting her photographic archive after a life-altering autoimmune diagnosis, she renewed her practice through works that locate beauty in the broken, the imperfect, and the enduring. Her México series frames street memory, devotion, and daily life with radical honesty and a strong sense of connection.
